A kitchen remodel here becomes part of a new Great Room. In order to bring the entire family together, a Great Room is created to connect the kitchen and Family Room. Taking cues from the existing boxed beam ceiling, the structural dividing wall of this two story residence was removed and replaced by a new beam, concealed in the extended boxed beam ceiling feature above. The kitchen was entirely reconfigured and appointed with new appliances, cabinetry and lighting. New Marvin wood windows were added to fill the kitchen with natural light, mirroring existing windows across the Family Room. A full pantry and laundry closet within easy access provide full amenities. The ground floor bathroom at the end of the hallway was upgraded. All new custom cabinetry provides display and functional storage throughout. A new built-in bookcase/sideboard conceals a television which can be lifted from the cabinet at the touch of a button.
